Machine Attention · Contracts and interoperability
Clear contracts make evidence portable.
Campaign identity, placement identity, sponsor disclosure and measurement rules need explicit versions. Buying protocols and attribution evidence are separate concerns.
Current public contracts
The parts a report must name.
- Campaign ID
- A stable identifier for the advertiser campaign. IDs are not secrets. No campaign identity is inferred from a brand name.
- Placement ID
- A registered source property, channel and machine surface. Configuration does not by itself establish actual delivery.
- Creative version
- An immutable approved sponsor payload and content hash. Historical evidence must retain the creative version actually delivered.
- Sponsor disclosure
- Explicit sponsored status, named advertiser, factual description, canonical destination, campaign destination and sourceable claims.
- Metric contract
- 2026-09-11.v1 — definitions, exclusions and evidence grades.
- Policy contract
- Disclosed sponsorship, supportable facts and no concealed instructions.
Future compatibility
Interoperate without overstating conformance.
AdCP, MCP and A2A
These are areas for interoperability review. This release does not claim AdCP conformance, buyer-agent integration or a standardised attribution transport. Existing estate services and evidence sources remain the implementation boundary.
Any future protocol integration must preserve explicit sponsorship, versioned identities, safe aggregates and the distinction between observation and causality.
